Meals

We believe nutrition is a significant factor in the growth, development and overall functioning of our children.  Good nutrition provides good level of energy and increases concentration levels.  With increasing energy levels and the right nutrients, children are able to accomplish tasks and can sustain and promote physical, emotional and cognitive development.  Even mild hunger and under nutrition are barriers of learning.  Our positive approach to healthy food, sociable mealtimes, balanced nutrition and varied, freshly prepared menus encourages healthy little minds and bodies.

Mealtimes are sociable occasions, relaxed and an opportunity to not only eat delicious food, but to learn manners and social skills.  Staff will sit and encourage, initiate conversation and make meal times fun! Water and milk is offered at every meal time and easily accessible throughout the day.

Baby Weaning is an important time in a child's life as they discover food.  We will always follow your babies usual feeding routine whilst they are under 12 months but we will integrate our nursery routine of mealtimes too.  Your babies stage of weaning will be discussed with you so we can work together to introduce new foods together.

Dietary Requirement for allergies, preferences, cultural or religious reasons are catered for individually with strict measures. Our chef is highly trained and will plan every meal with care and attention.

Health is at the heart of our menu and we ensure we have planned each day with good balance of all food groups. We always welcome new ideas, so please let us know if your child has any family favourites we could add to our menu.
